Early learning: licensed preschool
Our preschool serves children who have turned 3 until they begin kindergarten. The StreamIn3 curriculum uses play and book based learning to support cognitive, social and physical development, and children take part in weekly gardening classes, monthly library visits and spring dance classes. PCYC is an approved subsidy vendor and a Mixed Delivery program provider. Read more on the childcare page.
Before and after school care for grades K-5
We work with Pulaski County Public Schools to offer before and after school care. Afternoons include a snack, homework and quiet reading time, art activities and time in the gym or on the playground, plus weekly gardening classes and service projects. On scheduled school closures, drop-in full days are open to students from any county. See the K-5 page for rates and bus times.
Afterschool for tweens and teens (grades 6-10)
Our experiential afterschool program gives students in grades 6 to 10 a small-group, screen-free place to explore indoor and outdoor activities, with monthly special programming and transportation from PCMS and PCHS.
STEM, classes and family workshops
Young engineers can join Lego League (ages 8 to 12) or the Turing Squad, our award-winning FIRST Tech Challenge team (ages 12 to 17). PCYC also hosts English classes with Literacy NRV and has run parent seminars with partners such as NRV CARES. Schedules change each season, so check classes and camps or call us.
